Artist
Siheng Song, one of the leading Chinese pianists of his generation, studied at the École Normale de Musique de Paris under Professor Marian Rybicki and at the Paris Conservatoire under Professor Olivier Gardon. He has won First Prizes at the Pontoise Piano Campus Competition, the International Piano Competition in Morocco, the Viseu International Piano Competition in Portugal, and the Grand Prix Animato. He has also been a laureate of the Leeds and Dublin competitions and won the Grand Prix at the Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition in 2004. Siheng Song performs worldwide, from Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and Shanghai to Paris, Berlin, London, and New York. He has collaborated with numerous distinguished orchestras, including the Orchestre de Paris, Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Lille National Orchestra, Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Vienna and Toulouse Chamber Orchestras, the China Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. He has recorded albums for Radio France and Deutsche Grammophon. Siheng Song is the youngest resident artist of the Shanghai Grand Theater. Since 2010, he has developed multimedia concert projects combining music, theater, visual art, and literature, aiming to offer new perspectives on presenting classical music in the 21st century.
